Medical Insurance
Many medical insurance policies include coverage for acupuncture. Inner Works Acupuncture accepts and bills health insurance. Every policy is different, and we encourage you to call your insurance company ahead of time to verify acupuncture coverage under your policy. We can also verify coverage for you when you call to book your first appointment.
In-Network Coverage
Elizabeth Zenger, Ph.D., L.Ac. is a preferred in-network provider for the following companies:
- Regence BlueCross BlueShield network and its affiliates
- Providence Health Plan
Out-of-Network Coverage
Many insurance policies include coverage of out-of-network providers for acupuncture. If you have out-of-network acupuncture coverage through your insurance company, we will provide you with the paperwork necessary to submit for insurance reimbursement. You will pay at the time of service, which includes a discount for time-of-service payment.
HSAs (Health Savings Accounts) and FSAs (Flexible Spending Accounts)
HSAs and FSAs are great for people who want choice, and prefer alternative medicine treatments. Acupuncture and Zero Balancing can be paid from the funds of an HSA or FSA. Many HSAs and FSAs also cover supplements and herbal medicine prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider. These accounts provide a tax advantage to the consumer. In some cases, an employer may provide an HSA or FSA as part of an employee benefit package, along with medical insurance. HSAs can also be funded by the consumer.
