Updated Policy on Masking and Vaccination

Oregon is currently entering a fifth wave of COVID-19, driven by the highly contagious Delta variant. Cases and hospitalizations are trending upward. Transmission is largely among unvaccinated people, with some breakthrough cases in vaccinated individuals.

In order to ensure high standards for the safety and well-being of patients and practitioner, Inner Works Acupuncture is establishing an updated policy on masking and vaccination:

  • We fully support and encourage voluntary vaccination for COVID-19, while acknowledging the right of an individual to refuse a medical procedure.
  • Unvaccinated patients will be required to wear a NIOSH-approved medical N-95 respirator (no valves and elastic band around the head for tight fit) while in the clinic building and during treatment. The practitioner will also be wearing an N-95. We encourage you to bring an N-95 with you when you come. We will try to keep a small supply on hand for sale at a reasonable price. KN-95 masks with ear loops is not acceptable. Please see the following infographic for more information on N-95 respirators: UnderstandDifferenceInfographic-508.pdf
  • Vaccinated patients must wear a cloth mask or surgical mask in the clinic building and during treatment, unless the practitioner instructs you to remove it.
  • Inner Works Acupuncture continues to follow OHA and CDC recommended workflow and safety procedures for COVID-19. If you wish to review our policies, please contact us directly for details.
